Amrit Mohan Prasad (IPS:1989:OR) has been appointed as appointed as Special Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (02.08.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Prasad to the post for period upto 31.08.2025 i.e. date of his superannuation or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
Amrit Mohan Prasad is presently serving in Odisha as DG Prisons.
