Amitendra Nath Sinha (IPS:2002:OD) has been appointed as Inspector General (IG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for a period of five years. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on June 15, 2023, the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Sinha to the post on deputation basis for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
