The Ministry of Steel has appointed Amitava Mukherjee (IRAS:1995) as the CMD of NMDC Limited for a period of three months with effect from Monday (13.03.2023) till May 31 or, till the regular incumbent joins the post, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest. Presently, Mukherjee is serving as the Director (Finance) of the company.
Upon the retirement of erstwhile CMD Sumit Deb on February 28, 2023, the CMD post fell vacant. On March 18, 2023, the PESB is expected to conduct a selection interview for the CMD post, during which several candidates are expected to face the selection board (PESB).
