Senior IAS officer Amit Kumar Ghosh (IAS:1994:UP), currently posted as Additional Secretary in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, has been repatriated to his parent cadre. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (01.05.2025), the repatriation has been approved on personal grounds.
Ghosh had assumed the role in November 2023, and his central deputation tenure was extended by one year on August 6, 2024, allowing him to serve until August 10, 2025. However, he is being repatriated three months ahead of schedule.
