Alok Ranjan appointed Director of NCRB

Senior IPS officer Alok Ranjan has been appointed as Director of National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB). He succeeds Vivek Gogia (IPS:1991:AGMUT).

Senior IPS officer Alok Ranjan (IPS:1991:MP) was on Saturday (21.09.2024) appointed as Director of National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB). He succeeds Vivek Gogia (IPS:1991:AGMUT), who has been repatriated to his parent cadre AGMUT.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Home Affairs to appoint Mr. Ranjan to the post of Director, NCRB to that of DG level on personal basis from the date of joining the post and Till date of his superannuation i.e. 30.06.2026 or until further orders whichever is earlier.
