The tenure of entrustment of additional charge to Akash Taneja (ITS:1990) as Development Commissioner, Kandla Special Economic Zone has been extended for a further period of six months. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved tenure extension of Taneja for a period of six months beyond 24.11.2021 or till the post is filled on regular basis or until further orders, whichever is earliest. Presently, he is Additional Director General, Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
