Ajitesh Kumar’s deputation as Coal Ministry Director extended till March 2026

ACC approves six-month extension of Ajitesh Kumar’s deputation as Director in the Ministry of Coal, now valid till March 4, 2026.

The central deputation tenure of Ajitesh Kumar (CPES:2006) as Director in the Ministry of Coal has been extended for another six months.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (September 3, 2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the Ministry of Coal’s proposal to extend Mr. Kumar’s deputation tenure beyond September 4, 2025, up to March 4, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Mr. Kumar was initially appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Coal on August 16, 2019, and assumed charge on September 5, 2019, for a four-year tenure. On January 1, 2022, he was redesignated as Director in the same ministry. So far, he has been granted two one-year extensions, making this his third extension
