Senior IAS officer Ajay Seth (IAS:1987:KN), currently serving as Secretary of Department of Economic Affairs, has been given additional charge of the post of Secretary of Department of Revenue. The Revenue Secretary post became vacant with appointment of Sanjay Malhotra (IAS:1990:RJ) as the 26th Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), replacing Governor Shaktikanta Das.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (10.12.2024), the competent authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post to Mr. Seth with immediate effect till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
