Senior bureaucrat Ajay Seth (IAS:1987:KN) was designated as the Finance Secretary on Monday. The post was vacant since the appointment of Tuhin Kant Pandey (IAS:1987:OR) as the Chairman of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Seth is currently serving as Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs.
Earlier this month he was also given the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Revenue.
