Air Marshal SP Dharkar has been appointed as the next Vice Chief of Air Staff. He will take over from Air Marshal AP Singh, who is slated to become the Chief of Air Staff on September 30. Dharkar will officially assume his new role after Air Marshal Singh steps into his position as the head of the Indian Air Force.
Dharkar is currently in charge of the Eastern Air Command in Shillong.
