Adhipnath Palchaudhuri, Director (Service Business), Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited (BLC), has been appointed to the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), BLC. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (18.07.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to appoint Adhipnath Palchaudhuri to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.03.2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Notably, on May 09, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) recommended Adhipnath Palchaudhuri’s name to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for approval after interviewing nine candidates.
