The medical wing of the CAPF has refuted the charge, levelled by the CRPF, that the laxity shown by the former, was responsible for massive spike in the coronavirus cases in the CRPF.
Reacting to the charges, Dr Mukesh Saxena, ADG Medical, CAPF has said that the Ministry of Home Affairs is conducting an inquiry into the matter. Dr Saxena told ANI,”The reason for massive spikes in cases of coronavirus among CAPF jawans, is mainly due to their deployment in the red zone areas and hotspots.”
CRPF DG, AP Maheshwari in a meeting held a few days back, had pointed out that due to the laxity shown by the medical wing officers, 31 Battalion of CRPF witnessed a massive spike in corona cases.
CRPF and the medical wing of CAPF have been engaged in blame game since then, over the hike in COVID-19 cases in the former. (ANI)
