Manisha Sinha (IPoS:1992), Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, has been prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (September 17, 2025), the competent authority approved her repatriation to avail the benefit of promotion.
Sinha had been serving in the Department of Economic Affairs since May 2020, when she was appointed as Joint Secretary for a five-year tenure. In February 2022, she was empanelled as Additional Secretary and subsequently appointed to the post in May 2022. Her tenure was originally scheduled to continue until May 2026, but she has been sent back to her cadre prematurely to take up the promotional assignment.
