The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension in upgradation of two IAS officers serving under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
According to an official order issued on Thursday (September 11, 2025), the following officers will continue to hold their upgraded posts at the level of Joint Secretary until December 31, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier:
- Bishnu Charan Mallick (IAS:2007:RJ), presently serving as Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Rajasthan.
- Nirupama J Dange (IAS:2007:MH), presently serving as Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Maharashtra.
