ACC clears redesignation of two 2012 batch officers as Directors

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Wednesday (December 17, 2025) approved the redesignation of two officers from the 2012 batch of different services to the rank of Director, with effect from January 1, 2026. Both officers are currently serving at the Deputy Secretary level in separate departments.

Those whose posts have been upgraded are Pawan Kumar Malapati (IAS:2012:KN), presently posted in the Ministry of Defence, and Karamjeet Kaur (IES:2012), who is serving in the Department of Defence Production.
