The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Tuesday (December 9, 2025) approved the empanelment of five senior officers from various services and batches for appointment as Secretary or Secretary-equivalent at the central government. The decision enables them to be considered for top administrative roles in key ministries and departments.

Secretary/Secretary Equivalent posts:

  1. Manisha Sinha (IPoS:1992)
  2. Ramesh Krishnamurthi (IRS-IT:1992)

Secretary Equivalent posts:

  1. Vishvajit Sahay (IDAS:1990)
  2. Asit Gopal (IFoS:1990:MP)
  3. Suchindra Misra (IDAS:1992)
