ACC approves Special DG level appointments in Central Armed Police Forces

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Saturday (21.09.2024) approved the proposal of Ministry of Home Affairs for Special DG level appointments in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows

1. Praveer Ranjan (IPS:1993:AGMUT), Additional Director General (DG), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been appointed as Special Director General (DG), CISF on in-situ basis for two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
2. Vitul Kumar (IPS:1993:UP), Additional Director General (ADG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF till the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.08.2028 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
3. R Prasad Meena (IPS:1993:AM), Additional Director General (ADG), Border Security Force (BSF), has been appointed as Special Director General, BSF till the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.07.2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
