The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday (February 10, 2026) approved the empanelment of 151 officers of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) for promotion to the grade of Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT) in Level 14 of the Pay Matrix for the panel year 2026. The promotions will take effect from the date the officers assume charge of their respective posts and will remain valid until further orders.
