ACC approves appointment of two new members in CBDT

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Monday (29.07.2024) appointed two new members to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

These two members are;

1. Prabodh Seth (IRS-IT:1989)
2. Ramesh Narain Parbat (IRS-IT:1989)

Presently, Seth is serving as Principal Chief Commissioner (International Taxation) whereas R N Parbat is DG (Investigation), Lucknow. Seth and R N Parbat will be succeeding Sanjai Kumar Verma (IRS-IT:1988) and Ravi Agrawal (IRS-IT:1988) respectively.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes consists of a Chairman and six members that deal with income tax and revenue, audit and judicial, and others.
