Abhas Katra Singh (IPoS:2012), has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Railways and Electronics & Information Technology. His appointment is specially pertains to the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. He will assume the role at Deputy Secretary level.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (27.07.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appoint of Abhas Katra Singh to the post for two years one month & 20 days (for the balance period of 4 year of working as OSD in the Minister’s staff at Deputy Secretary level) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
