Mumbai Police Commissioner Subodh Jaiswal (IPS:1985:MH) has been appointed as the new Director-General of Maharashtra. He took charge from DGP Dattatray Padsalgikar, who retired on Thursday. Jaiswal served for nine years in the Research & Analysis Wing, where he was promoted to Additional Secretary.
He was appointed as Mumbai police chief in August 2018 and has now been elevated as the state police head.
