UP govt transfers 10 senior IAS officers; AK Goel posted as ACS, Labour & Employment

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 10 senior IAS officers to new assignments and changing the responsibilities of several key departments.

Among the significant changes, Amit Kumar Ghosh (IAS:1994:UP) has been shifted from the Health and Medical Education departments to Higher Education, while Dr. Ashish Kumar Goel (IAS:1995:UP), who was handling multiple key responsibilities, has been transferred as Additional Chief Secretary, Labour & Employment.

The names of the officers and their new assignments are as follows:

1. Amit Kumar Ghosh (IAS:1994:UP), Additional Chief Secretary, Medical, Health & Family Welfare and Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education.
2. Dr. Ashish Kumar Goel (IAS:1995:UP), Additional Chief Secretary, Energy & Additional Energy Source Dept; Chairman, UPPCL, UPPTCL, UPRVUNL and UPSLDC; and Additional Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Labour & Employment.
3. Amrit Abhijat (IAS:1995:UP), Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture & Religious Affairs, has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Transport, along with his existing assignment.
4. V Hekali Zhimomi (IAS:1996:UP), Principal Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Medical, Health & Family Welfare and Principal Secretary, Medical Education.
5. Mahendra Prasad Agarwal (IAS:1997:UP), Principal Secretary, Higher Education, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change.
6. Anil Kumar-III (IAS:1998:UP), Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Commissioner, Food & Civil Supplies.
7. Dr MK Shanmuga Sundaram (IAS:1997:UP), Principal Secretary, Labour & Employment and Principal Secretary, Technical Education, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Agriculture; Principal Secretary, Agriculture Education & Research; and Principal Secretary, Agriculture Marketing, Agriculture Foreign & Business Export Promotion Dept.
8. Ravinder (IAS:1999:UP), Principal Secretary, Agriculture; Principal Secretary, Agriculture Education & Research; Principal Secretary, Agriculture Marketing, Agriculture Foreign & Business Export Promotion Dept; and Director, State Agriculture Production Mandi Parishad, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj.
9. Amit Gupta (IAS:2000:UP), Principal Secretary, Stamps & Registration, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Technical Education, along with his existing assignment.
10. Ranvir Prasad (IAS:2000:UP), Principal Secretary, Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Commissioner, Food & Civil Supplies, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Energy & Additional Energy Source Dept; Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL); Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL); Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL); and Chairman, Uttar Pradesh State Load Despatch Centre (UPSLDC).
