Three IRS-IT Officers Promoted as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Posts

Three IRS Income Tax officers, including Vanita Rattan Sharma, Upendra Bhushan Mishra and Shahi Sanjay Kumar, promoted as CCIT for panel year 2026.

New Delhi: Three IRS (Income Tax) officers have been promoted as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT) for the panel year 2026 under the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

They are:

  1. Vanita Rattan Sharma (IRS-IT:1994)
  2. Upendra Bhushan Mishra (IRS-IT:1994)
  3. Shahi Sanjay Kumar (IRS-IT:1995)

Following the promotion, Upendra Bhushan Mishra and Shahi Sanjay Kumar have been posted as CCIT.

Upendra Bhushan Mishra has been appointed as CCIT (C)-2, Mumbai, while Shahi Sanjay Kumar has been appointed as CCIT (OSD), Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi. He will also hold the additional charge of the post he was holding prior to his promotion.
