Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Monday (July 13, 2026) transferred senior IPS officer A Arun (IPS:1998:TN) from the post of Director, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), less than two months after his appointment. C Mageshwari (IPS:2004:TN) has been given full additional charge as Director, DVAC.
Arun, an Additional Director General of Police (ADGP)-rank officer, has been transferred and posted as Director, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, Chennai. The transfer takes immediate effect.
Mageshwari, who was serving as Inspector General of Police, Special Investigation Cell-I, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, has been entrusted with full additional charge as Director, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption.
