Bihar govt revises IAS transfer orders, reassigns seven officers

The Bihar government on Sunday (July 12, 2026) revised its recent transfer orders and issued fresh posting orders for seven IAS officers. The changes include fresh assignments for officers whose postings were announced on July 10, besides cancellation of one transfer order.

The details of the officers are as follows:

1. Sanjay Kumar (IAS:2014:BH), OSD, State Election Commission, Patna, who was transferred on July 10 as Additional Secretary, Urban Development & Housing Department, has now been assigned the fresh responsibility of Additional Secretary, SC & ST Welfare Department, Patna.
2. Mukesh Kumar (IAS:2014:BH), Settlement Officer, Gaya, has been transferred and posted as Director, Directorate of Provident Fund, Patna.
3. Akhilesh Kumar (IAS:2014:BH), Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, with additional charge of Additional Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Agriculture Department, Patna.
4. Manoj Kumar Rajak (IAS:2017:BH), Additional Secretary, Urban Development & Housing Department, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department, Patna.
5. Manoj Kumar (IAS:2017:BH), whose transfer on July 10 as Additional Secretary, Industries Department has been cancelled, will continue as Additional Secretary, Urban Development & Housing Department, Patna.
6. Sara Ashraf (IAS:2021:BH), DDC-cum-CEO, Zila Parishad, Supaul, who was transferred as Director, Food Processing, Industries Department on July 10, has now been assigned the fresh posting of DDC-cum-CEO, Zila Parishad, Nalanda.
7. Tushar Kumar (IAS:2023:BH), SDO, Muzaffarpur East, has been transferred and posted as SDO, Purnia.
