Arvind Kumar recommended as BSNL Director (Consumer Mobility)

Delhi: Arvind Kumar has been recommended for appointment as Director (Consumer Mobility), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).

The recommendation was made during the PESB selection meeting held on Saturday (July 11, 2026). Kumar is currently serving as Director General and CEO, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).

His name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. The appointment will be subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.

A total of seven candidates appeared before the PESB selection panel. They were:

1. Nitin Ravindra Mahajan, Principal General Manager, Ahmedabad, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
2. Ramashray Prasad, Principal General Manager (Consumer Mobility), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
3. Sanjeev Singhal, Principal General Manager, Transmission, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
4. Daya Nand Katyayan, Senior General Manager (Business Area Head, Faridabad), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
5. Kamlesh Kukreti, Senior General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
6. Digamber Kumar, Senior General Manager, Tumkur BA Head, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
7. Arvind Kumar, Director General and CEO, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).
