Yogesh Kumar Baweja, Press Registrar General of India, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Director General, Akashvani and Director General, Doordarshan.
According to an office order issued by Prasar Bharati on July 3, 2026, Baweja, who has already been assigned the additional charge of DG (News), NSD: Akashvani, will also look after the charge of DG, Akashvani and DG, Doordarshan in addition to his present duties.
He will hold the additional charges during the ex-India leave of Rajeev Kumar Jain, DG, NSD: Akashvani, from July 4, 2026 to August 9, 2026, or until Jain resumes charge. During this period, Baweja will look after the routine matters of Akashvani and Doordarshan.
