IREDA CMD Pradeep Kumar Das’ tenure ends on June 30, 2026; successor yet to be selected as PESB interviews remain pending.

The tenure of Pradeep Kumar Das as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2026, but the government is yet to finalise his successor.

Notably, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) had advertised the vacancy for the post of CMD, IREDA on January 28, 2026. Interviews for selection of a new candidate are yet to be conducted.

Pradeep Kumar Das has been serving as CMD of IREDA since May 5, 2020. He was initially appointed for a tenure of five years. Before completion of his original tenure in May 2025, the government extended his tenure beyond May 5, 2025 until his retirement on June 30, 2026.

With the tenure now set to conclude, a decision on the next CMD is awaited.
