Bihar: Two IAS officers appointed in Governor Secretariat

In a significant development, the Bihar government on Friday (July 18, 2025) appointed two IAS officers to key positions in the Governor Secretariat.

Dr. Nand Lal Arya (IAS:2014:BH), currently serving as Settlement Officer in Nalanda, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the Governor Secretariat.

Another IAS officer, Suman Kumar (IAS:2014:BH), who was working as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, has also been moved to the Governor Secretariat in the same capacity.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Kumar (IAS:2011:BH), Special Secretary in the Governor Secretariat, and Mahabir Prasad Sharma (IAS:2013:BH), Additional Secretary, have been placed on the waiting list in the General Administration Department for further posting.
