The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Wednesday (May 28, 2025) kickstarted the selection process for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) at Engineers India Limited (EIL) by inviting applications through an official advertisement. The appointment will be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up to the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
As per the notification, eligible and experienced candidates can apply until June 24, 2025. The applicant should possess cumulative experience or exposure for at least five years during the last ten years in Finance, Business Development, Production, Operations, Marketing, or Project Management in a large organization of repute. Experience in the petroleum or petrochemical industry is desirable.
Current EIL CMD Vartika Shukla has been serving in the post since August 2021 and is scheduled to retire on February 28, 2026.
