Jivan Kautikrao Bachhav (IRS-IT:2011) has been appointed as the Private Secretary to Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Ayush. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (27.01.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved appointment of Mr. Bachhav to the post for a period upto 05.02.2028 (i.e. for the balance period of her five years central deputation tenure) or or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until her service as Private Secretary to the Minister concludes, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
It’s worth noting that prior to this appointment, Mr. Bachhav was serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture under the central staffing scheme. However, his tenure in this role was curtailed due to his new appointment as the Private Secretary to Minister of State (I/C) Prataprao Jadhav. He will assume charge of the post at Director level.
