Krishna Kumar Tiwari re-designated as Director in ECI

Krishna Kumar Tiwari (ISS:2011), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Election Commission of India (ECI), has been re-designated as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (02.01 2025), the competent authority has approved the proposal to re-designate Tiwari’s post to Director level with effect from January 1, 2025, or the date he assumes charge of the re-designated post and for a period upto September 30, 2026 i.e.
maximum admissible tenure of five years under the central staffing scheme.

It is noteworthy that Krishna Kumar Tiwari began his central deputation tenure on October 1, 2021.
