Despite the tall claim, it is still easy to penetrate the security cordon of a VIP while on tour. This is what exactly happened when a fake police officer infiltrated Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s security team during his Parvatipuram Manyam district tour. The accused, identified as Surya Prakash from Vizianagaram district, guised himself as an IPS officer and joined Pawan Kalyan’s Y-Category security during his Parvatipuram Manyam district tour.
Interestingly, when Surya Prakash entered the area where Pawan was present, the security officials allowed him without asking any questions. They even posed for pictures with him.
Shockingly, the fake IPS officer accompanied Pawan Kalyan throughout the tour, and no one smelt the rat that he was a fake IPS officer. What is surprising is the fact that the area Pawan toured was a problematic area located on the Andhra-Orissa border, and hence tight security was deployed at every check post. Still, the accused managed to break into Pawan’s security team.
The police found out about this serious lapse only after Pawan’s tour was over. Finally, he was nabbed when he was travelling from Vizianagaram to Hyderabad. He claimed that he passed IPS last year and came to Pawan’s tour as a part of his training. The police took him into custody and are questioning him. The accused reportedly worked in the Legal & Metrology Department in the past.
