Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the high-powered three-day All-India Conference of Director Generals/Inspector Generals of Police (DGs and IGPs) in Bhubaneswar from November 28-30. Apart from him, Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will also be attending all the sessions of the conference spread over three days.

According to sources, a wide-range of subjects like policing, cyber crime, technology in policing, counterterrorism challenges, LWE, and prison reforms are likely to be discussed during three days conference. Discussions will also be held to evolve strategies to cope with new challenges posed by AI tools such as ChatGPT; latest threats of drone and counterterrorism are among the crucial issues to be discussed.

The source said that the discussions will also include possible measures to counter new threats related to the internal security like counterterrorism, emerging trends in militancy and hybrid militancy in J&K, Khalistan communication and logistics network, dark web in terror financing, drug trafficking, and the role of cryptocurrency in counterterrorism.

Besides, China’s presence in the neighbourhood and its implications for India and growing radicalization and political instability in neighbourhood will also come up for threadbare discussions in the conference.
