Union Cabinet modifies Productivity Linked Reward for ports and dock employees

The Union Cabinet has approved modification of the existing Productivity Linked Reward (PLR) Scheme for the major ports and dock labour Board employees/workers from 2020-21 to 2025-26.

It will benefit about 20,704 employees of Major Port Authorities and Dock Labour Board Employees/workers. The All India Port performance weightage has been reduced to 40% from the existing 50% over a period till 2025-26. The total expenditure for the entire period under this head will be in tune of Rs.200 crore. The PLR is granted every year according to the settlement between Management and the Labour Federations of the Major Port Authorities.
