West Bengal govt reshuffles bureaucracy, transfers 39 IAS officers

In a significant administrative overhaul, the West Bengal government on Wednesday reshaped the bureaucratic structure of the state. A total of 39 IAS officers have been transferred and assigned new roles, aiming to enhance the efficiency of the state’s administration.

The names of the officers and their respective postings are as follows;

1. Avanindra Singh (IAS:2002:WB), Secretary, Labour Department with additional charge of Divisional Commissioner, Bardhaman Division, has been given additional charge of Divisional Commissioner, Medinipur Division.
2. Ayesha Rani A (IAS:2009:WB), Divisional Commissioner, Medinipur Division with additional charge of State Mission Director and Chief Executive officer, West Bengal State Rural Livelihood Mission, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate, Purba Bardhaman.
3. K Radhika Aiyar (IAS:2011:WB), District Magistrate, Purba Bardhaman, has been transferred and posted as Senior Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department.
4. Kuhuk Bhushan (IAS:2015:WB), Additional District Magistrate, Hooghly, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Panchayat Rural Development Department with additional charge of State Mission Director and Chief Executive Officer, West Bengal State Rural Livelihood Mission.
5. Sana Akhtar (IAS:2014:WB), ADM, Purba Bardhaman, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Technical Education, Training & Skill Development Dept.
6. Aditi Chaudhury (IAS:2014:WB), ADM, Hooghly, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Women & Child Development & Social Welfare Department.
7. Unice Rishin Ismail (IAS:2014:WB), ADM, Howrah, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare.
8. Shiraz Daneshyar (IAS:2014:WB), ADM, Paschim Bardhaman, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Transport Department.
9. Srikanth Palli (IAS:2015:WB), ADM, Darjeeling, has been transferred and posted as OSD, BRAIPRD
10. Shevale Abhijit Tukaram (IAS:2015:WB), CEO, SJDA with additional charge of ADM, Darjeeling, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Animal Resources Development Department.
11. Sandeep Kumar Ghosh (IAS:2016:WB), ADM, Darjeeling, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, Food & Supplies Department.
12. Sumant Sahay (IAS:2016:WB), ADM, Murshidabad, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, Youth Service & Sports Department.
13. Shaikh Ansar Ahmed (IAS:2016:WB), ADM, Jhargram, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises & Textiles Department.
14. Jitin Jadav (IAS:2016:WB), ADM, Howrah with addl. Charge of Member Secretary, Centre of Excellence in Public Management and Course Director, Satyendranath Tagore Civil Services Study Centre, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary L & LR & RR & R Department with addl. charge of Member Secretary Centre of Excellence in Public Management and Course Director, Satyendranath Tagore Civil Services Study Centre.
15. Dhiman Barai (IAS:2016:WB), ADM, Jalpaiguri, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, Urban Joint Secretary, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Department.
16. Divya Murugesan (IAS:2017:WB), ADM, Purba Medinipur, has been transferred and posted as ADM, Howrah.
17. Prateek Singh (IAS:2019:WB), SDO, Canning, South 24 Parganas, has been transferred and posted as ADM, Purba Bardhaman.
