Odisha: 18 IAS officers shifted; Satyabrata Sahu is now ACS, Home

The Odisha government on Wednesday (21.08.2024) effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring 18 IAS officers and assigning them new tasks.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Satyabrata Sahu (IAS:1991:OR), Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management Dept with additional charge of posts of Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha; Managing Director OSDMA, and Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Dept, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department.
2. Deoranjan Kumar Singh (IAS:1993:OR), Additional Chief Secretary, Steel & Mines Department with additional charge of posts of Chairman, Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd.; Chairman, Odisha Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited; Chairman, lndustrial Development Corporation of Odisha Limited, Bhubaneswar, and Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management Department with additional charge of posts of Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha and Managing Director, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority.
3. Surendra Kumar (IAS:1993:OR), Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration and Public Grievance Department with additional charge of posts of Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism Department and Additional Chief Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Steel & Mines Department with additional charge of the posts of Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration and Public Grievance Department; Additional Chief Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs Department; Chairman, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited; Chairman, Odisha Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited and Chairman, Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha Limited, Bhubaneswar.
4. Hemant Sharma (IAS:1995:OR), Principal Secretary, Industries Department with additional charge of the posts of Chairman, IPICOL and Principal Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary, Energy Department.
5. Bishnupada Sethi (IAS:1995:OR), Principal Secretary, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department is allowed to remain in additional charge of the posts of Principal Secretary, ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Dept and Principal Secretary, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department.
6. Ms. Usha Padhee (IAS:1996:OR), Principal Secretary, Skill Development and Technical Education Department with additional charge of the posts of Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department and Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department.
7. Vishal Gagan (IAS:1998:OR), Special Secretary, Industries Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Resident Commissioner, Odisha Bhawan, New Delhi.
8. NBS Rajput (IAS:1999:OR), Principal Secretary to Governor, Odisha, has been given additional chharge of Principal Secretary, Skill Development and Technical Education Department.
9. Shalini Pandit (IAS:2001:OR), Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department with additional charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Mission Shakti and Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary, School and Mass Education Department. She is allowed to continue in additional charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Mission Shakti.
10. Ms. Aswathy S (IAS:2003:OR), Commissioner-cum-Secretary, School and Mass Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department.
11. Ms. Roopa Roshan Sahoo (IAS:2006:OR), Commissioner-cum-Secretary, ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department, has been transferred and posted as Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Southern Division, Berhampur.
12. Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav (IAS:2007:OR), Director, Tourism with additional charge of Managing Director, Odisha Tourism Development Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Northern Division, Sambalpur.
13. Balwant Singh (IAS:2007:OR), Managing Director, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited with additional charge of posts of Managing Director, Odisha Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited, Bhubaneswar; Managing Director, Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha Limited, Bhubaneswar; Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority and Managing Director, Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Tourism Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of posts of Managing Director, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited; Managing Director, Odisha Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited, Bhubaneswar and Managing Director, Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha Limited, Bhubaneswar.
14. Yamini Sarangi (IAS:2008:OR), State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan with additional charge of Special Secretary, Finance Department, has been given additional charge of Commissioner, Commercial Taxes & GST.
15. B Parameswaran (IAS:2008:OR), Commissioner, Consolidation, Bhubaneswar, has been transferred and posted as Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Central Division, Cuttack.
16. Dr. Noonsavath Thirumala Naik, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Odisha, has been transferred and posted as Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Managing Director, Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited and Managing Director, Capital Region Urban Transport.
17. Samarth Verma (IAS:2011:OR), Additional Secretary, Works Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Tourism, Odisha. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Managing Director, Odisha Tourism Development Corporation and Managing Director, Odisha Film Development Corporation.
18. Ms. Ananya Das (IAS:2015:OR), Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department, has been transferred and posted as State Project Director, Odisha School Education Programme Authority.
