The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of three Advocates as Judges of the Gujarat High Court. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collegium held on August 13, 2024.
The names of the Advocates are;
- Sanjeev Jayendra Thaker,
- Deeptendra Narayan Ray @ D N Ray
- Maulik Jitendra Shelat
Additionally, the SC Collegium has decided to remit the proposal for the appointment of Advocate Tejal Vashi as a Judge of the Gujarat High Court, recommending that the Chief Justice of the High Court reconsider her name alongside other eligible candidates in the future.
