The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday (01.07.2024) promoted two of its Chief General Managers to the rank of Executive Director.

- Arnab Chowdhury
Chowdhury’s new role is effective from June 3, and Kar’s from July 1.
As Executive Directors, Kar will oversee the Department of Communication, HR Department, and the Right to Information (First Appellate Authority). Chowdhury will oversee the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation, the Foreign Exchange Department, and the International Department.
Before their promotions, Chowdhury was the Chief General Manager in charge of the Department of Supervision, and Kar was in charge of the Human Resource Department.
