Takhat Singh Ranawat (IFoS:2007:KN) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister for Heavy Industries & Steel HD Kumaraswamy. His appointment specifically pertains to the Ministry of Steel.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (21.06.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal to appoint Takhat Sing Ranawat to the post of Private Secretary with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post.
His tenure will last until November 24, 2026, for the remaining five years of his central deputation as Private Secretary, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Earlier in the second term of the Modi government, he was appointed Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shobha Karandlaje, on November 23, 2021.
