Raman Kumar (IAS:2009:BH) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (20.06.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal to appoint Raman Kumar to the post of Private Secretary with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post.
His tenure will last until November 28, 2026, for the remaining five years of his central deputation, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Raman Kumar for the second time appointed Private Secretary to Union Minister Giriraj Singh. In the second term of Modi government when Giriraj Singh was Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Raman Kumar appointed for the first time Private Secretary to Giriraj Singh in November 2021 for five years.
