Major bureaucratic reshuffle effected at Joint Secretary level

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared the appointment of over 30 officers to the post of Joint Secretary in various ministries and departments.

1. Abhikaksh Likhi (IAS:1991:HY) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmer Welfare vice Ashish K Bhutani (IAS:1992:AM).

2. Paban K. Borthakur (IAS:1989:AM) has been appointed as Chairman (JS Level), Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under Department of Commerce on lateral shift basis upto April 30, 2022. He is presently Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmer Welfare.

3. Atish Chandra (IAS:1994:BH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmer Welfare Vice Paban K. Borthakur (IAS:1989:AM).

4. Bhabani Prasad Pati (IFoS:1994:GJ) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal for a period of five years vice N.K. Sudhansu (IAS:2000:MH).

5. Ms. Vismita Tej (IRS-IT:1990) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal for a period of five years against an available vacancy.

6. Ms. Nidhi Mani Tripathi (IAS:2001:MN) has been appointed as Joint Secretary,Department of Commerce for an overall tenure of five years upto October 30, 2021 vice Manoj Kumar Devedi (IAS:1997:JK).

7. Anand Mohan Bajaj (IA&AS:1990) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for a period of five years vice Praveen Garg (IAS:1988:MP).

8. Ms. V. Vidyavathi (IAS:1991:KN), Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change on lateral Shift basis for a overall tenure of five years vice Gyanesh Bharti (IAS:1998:UT).

9. Gyanesh Bharti (IAS:1998:UT), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat on lateral Shift basis for a overall tenure of five years vice V. Vidyavathi (IAS:1991:KN).

10. Partha Sarthi Sensharma (IAS:1994:UP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Fertilizers for a tenure of five years vice Alka Tiwari (IAS:1988:JH).

11. R.K. Khandelwal (IAS:1989:BH) has been appointed as Deputy Director General (JS level) in the Department of Telecommunications on lateral shift basis for an overall tenure of of five years upto August 3, 2022. He is presentaly posted in Department of Food & Public Distribution.

12. S. Jagannathan (IRTS:1989) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution vice R K Khandelwal(IAS:1989:BH).

13. Ms. Sukriti Likhi (IAS:1993:HY) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry vice Sivanand N (IOFS:1985)

14. Mandeep Bhandari (IAS:2001:JK) has been appointed as Joint Secretary (against newly created post), Department of Health & Family Welfare for a period ending 17 January 2023.

15. Piyush Goel (IAS:1994:NL) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, vice Sudhir Kumar Saxena (IAS:1987:MP).

16. Ms. Nidhi Khare (IAS:1992:JH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs vice Mukesh Mittal (IRS-IT:1987).

17. Rajiv Sharma (IDAS:1993) has been appointed as Financial Adviser in National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID, JS level) under Ministry of Home Affairs vice Ms Maushumi Rudra (IDAS:1992).

18. Ms. Nandita Gupta (IAS:2001:HP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs upto December 14, 2022 vice Dharmendra (IAS:1989:AGMUT).

19. Sadanand Vasant Date (IPS:1990:MH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Justice vice Ajay K Lal (IFoS:1987:HP).

20. Ajay Tewari (IAS:1993:AM) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment vice Rajit Punhani (IAS:1993:BH) consequent on his appointment as CVO.

21. Ms. Neelam Sanghi (IRAS:1989) has been appointed as Additional CPFC (Hq), (JS level), EPFO under the Ministry of Labour and Employment on lateral Shift basis upto October 31, 2022.

22. M C Jauhari (IAS:1987:AM) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, NITI Aayog vice Ashok Kumar Jain (IFoS:1983:AP).

23. Ms. Vijaylakshmi Bidari (IAS:2001:MH) has been appointed as Regional Director (JS Level), SSC, Bangalore under DoPT by temporarily upgrading the post of Regional Director (Director level), SSC, held by the officer as a measure personal to her.

24. Priyank Bharti (IAS:2001:PB) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways for an overall tenure of five years upto April 11, 2021 vice Smt Dakshita Das (IRAS:1986).

25. Rohit Kumar (IAS:1997:RJ) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development vice Atul Kumar Tiwari (lAS:1990:KN).

26. Ms. Leena Johri (IAS:1994:UP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development vice Ms Aparajita Sarangi (IAS:1994:OR).

27. Charanjit Singh (IFoS:1990:MP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development vice Atal Dulloo (IAS:1989:JK).

28. V. Shashank Shekhar (IAS:1996:NL) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances on lateral shift basis upto November 2019 vice Ms Smita Kumar (IPoS:1987). He is currently posted as JS, Department of School Education & Literacy (MHRD).

29. Ramchandra Meena (IRT-IT:1992) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of School Education (MHRD) vice V Shashank Shekhar (IAS:1996:NL).

30. Ashish Srivastava (IAS:1992:MP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Woman & Child Development vice Chetan Bhushan Sanghi (IAS:1989:UT).
