Vikas Sheel (IAS:1994:CG) has been appointed as the Executive Director (ED) of the Asian Development Bank for a tenure of three years. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Friday (05.01.2024), announcing the decision. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Mr. Sheel’s appointment to the position, effective for a period of three years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Currently, he serves as the Additional Secretary and Mission Director of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
