Tripura: 9 IPS officers shifted, Anurag posted as ADGP, Law & Order

The Tripura government underwent a significant reshuffle in the police administration on Friday, September 29, 2023, with transfer orders issued for 23 police officers, including 9 IPS (Indian Police Service) officers.

Here is the list of the 9 IPS officers and their new positions:

1. Anurag (IPS:1994:TR), who returned from central deputation, has been appointed as ADGP (Additional Director General of Police), Law & Order.
2. Saurabh Tripathi (IPS:1997:TR), who held the position of ADGP, Law and Order, has been transferred and assigned as ADGP at PHQ (Police Headquarters).
3. Kulwant Singh (IPS:2013:TR), who was serving as SP (South) in Tripura, has been moved and appointed as SP (Economic Offences).
4. Bijoy Debbarma (IPS), SP of Security, has been transferred and is now the SP of Procurement.
5. Prabir Majumdar (IPS:2011:TR), who was previously SP of Procurement, has been reassigned as SP of MTF.
6. Ratiranjan Debnath (IPS:2011:TR), who held the position of SP of Serious Crime, has been transferred and is now the SP of Anti-Narcotics.
7. Jayanta Chakraborty (IPS), who was the Commandant of the 6th Battalion of TSR (Tripura State Rifles), has been moved and is now the AIGP (Additional Inspector General of Police) at HQ (Headquarters).
8. Timir Das (IPS), who served as CO (Commanding Officer) of Home Guard, has been transferred and is now the SP of SCRB (State Crime Records Bureau).
9. Sudeshna Bhattacharyya (IPS), SP of SCRB, has been reassigned as CO of Home Guard.
