Diplomat Atul Malhari Gotsurve appointed as India’s next Ambassador to Mongolia

Diplomat Atul Malhari Gotsurve (IFS:2004) has been appointed as India’s forthcoming Ambassador to Mongolia. Currently holding the position of Joint Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), he will succeed MP Singh in this esteemed role.

Mr. Gotsurve is expected to assume his new responsibilities in the near future.

He has previously served in key diplomatic posts, including the Indian Embassy in Mexico and Cuba. His assignments have encompassed a diverse range of portfolios, spanning political, commercial, trade and investment promotion, culture, and consular affairs.

Within the Ministry of External Affairs, Mr. Gotsurve has demonstrated his expertise by serving in various capacities within the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Division from 2010 to 2014. Subsequently, he took on the pivotal role of Regional Passport Officer in Pune, Maharashtra, from 2014 to 2017.
