HP: Two Deputy Commissioners among 16 IAS officers shifted

In a major administrative reshuffle, the Himachal Pradesh government on Monday (24.04.2025) issued transfer and posting orders for 16 IAS officers, including the deputy commissioner of Sirmaur and Lahaul and Spiti districts.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Sudesh Kumar Mokhta (IAS:2010:HP), Mission Director, National Health Mission, shall continue to hold the charge of the posts of Managing Director, HP Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC) and Project Director, HP Horticulture Development Society.
2. Lalit Jain (IAS:2011:HP), Director, Environment, Science & Technology, with additional charge of the posts of Member Secretary, HP, State Council for Science Technology & Environment, Director, Land Records and MD, HP State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd, has been transferred and posted as CEO, Baddi, Barotiwala Nalagarh Development Authority at Baddi, Solan District.
3. Gopal Chand (IAS:2011:HP), Director (Personnel & Finance), HP State Electricity Board Ltd., Shimla, has been transferred and posted as Director, Urban Development, Shimla, with additional charge of CEO-cum-MD, Shimla Smart City Ltd., Shimla.
4. Dr. Richa Verma (IAS:2012:HP), CEO, Baddi, Barotiwala Nalagarh Development Authority at Baddi, Solan District, has been transferred and posted as Director, Land Records, Shimla.
5. Rajeshwar Goel (IAS:2012:HP), Director, Vigilance-cum-Special Secretary, Home & Vigilance with additional charge of the posts of Special Secretary to the Chief Minister and MD, HP State Industrial Development Corporation, Shimla, shall also hold additional charge of the post of MD, HP State Civil Supplies Corporation, Shimla.
6. Duni Chand Rana (IAS:2014:HP), present under order of transfer as Director-cum-Ex-Officio-Special Secretary, Revenue-Disaster Management, Shimla with additional charge of the posts of MD, Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC), Shimla and Project Director, HP Horticulture Development Society, Shimla, has been transferred as Director-cum-Ex-Officio- Special Secretary, Revenue-Disaster Management with additional charge of the posts of Director, Environment, Science & Technology, Shimla and Member Secretary, HP, State Council for Science Technology & Environment , Shimla.
7. Ram Kumar Gautam (IAS:2014:HP), Deputy Commissioner, Sirmaur, has been transferred as Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Shimla.
8. Shubh Karan Singh (IAS:2015:HP), Special Secretary, Technical Education, Shimla, has been given additional charge of the post of CEO, HIMURJA, Shimla.
9. Sumit Khimta (IAS:2015:HP), Deputy Commissioner, Lahaul & Spiti, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Sirmaur.
10. Dr. Amit Kumar (IAS:2015:HP), Director (Personnel & Finance), HP Power Corporation Ltd., Shimla with additional charge of Additional Controller of Stores, Industries Department, Shimla has been given additional charge of Director (Personnel & Finance), HP State Electricity Board Ltd., Shimla.
11. Rahul Kumar (IAS:2016:HP), CEO, HIMURJA, Shimla has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Lahaul & Spiti.
12. Zaffar Iqbal (IAS:2017:HP), Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA), Solan with additional charge of Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Solan, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Solan.
13. Abhishek Verma (IAS:2018:HP), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kaza, Lahaul & Spiti District, has been transferred and posted as MD, General Industries Corporation, Shimla.
14. Ajay Kumar Yadav (IAS:2018:HP), Resident Commissioner, Pangi at Killar, Chamba District, has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA, Solan.
15. Ritika (IAS:2019:HP), SDO (Civil), Mandi, Mandi District, has been transferred and posted as Resident Commissioner, Pangi at Killar, Chamba District.
16. Rahul Jain (IAS:2019:HP), SDO (Civil), Sarkaghat, Mandi District, has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kaza, Lahaul & Spiti District.
