The Gujarat government on Wednesday (01.03.2023) appointed Vikas Sahay (IPS:1989:GJ) as the state’s regular Director General of Police (DGP). He was made in-charge DGP on January 31, following the retirement of incumbent DGP Ashish Bhatia (IPS:1985:GJ), who was on extension. Sahay then serving as the DGP, Training, Gandhinagar and was given additional charge of the state DGP.
