The central deputation tenure of Shyamal Misra (IAS:1996:HY) as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs has been extended for a period of two years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (19.07.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the deputation tenure of Misra for a period of two years beyond 30.07.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
