The Punjab government on Monday (18.10.2021) decided to appoint Jagbans Singh (IA&AS:1986) as the new Chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). The post had been vacant since July when Lt Gen Surinder Singh retired.
The name of Jagbans Singh, the National Academy of Audits and Accounts’s former Director General, was chosen from a panel of three names for chairperson-comprising a retired Accountant General Jagbans Singh, an ex-Army officer Lt Gen Iqroop Singh Ghuman (retired), and a police officer DGP and Chief Director Vigilance BK Uppal.
