The Jammu and Kashmir government has posted Abdul Gani Mir (IPS:1994:J&K) as Additional director general of police (ADGP) law and order in the union territory. He will continue to hold the charge of AGP Police headquarters in addition to his new responsibility.
The post of ADGP law and order was last held by Munir Ahmad Khan who retired on June 30, but was nominated as member of the UT’s backward commission before his superannuation.
